About All the Mods
All the Mods started because of money. No, not as a get-rich-quick scheme but because there never seems to be enough of it. My wife and I purchased our 2016 F150 in XLT trim because that was what we could afford. Nothing wrong with that, it is pretty well-appointed courtesy of Ford’s 302A package. But in the process of researching before purchase, I came across a plethora of amazing features across the F150 range available to those with bigger wallets. So I made my way to the forums by way of Google to see what similar-minded folks had come up with and WOW there is a lot of knowledge out there about these trucks. But I felt like there was room for improvement. A clearer and cleaner way to present these great ideas to folks who just want a series of directions to get from point A to point B.

I am the kind of guy that can’t let well enough be. This has inevitably led to some disastrous situations and uncomfortable conversations (like the time that I got banned from using the blender after a failed attempt to make it cross-compatible with a different brand’s food processor). Now we have two blenders and this blog as an outlet for my many ideas.

A Pacific Northwest native, Tacoma is named after the most over-hyped vehicle there is. No, really, her legal name is Tacoma Toyota. Tacoma runs on the anxious side when traveling, so we have taken many steps to ensure her comfort and safety on those long rides. We take her almost everywhere, so a majority of the current mods on the truck are to accommodate her unique travel needs. Tacoma’s favorite things are perching herself on the living room couch and keeping the neighborhood safe behind the safety of the living room window.
Maple

Maple also hails from the PNW, the unofficial homeland of Bigfoot. Maple’s name story is not as unique as Tacoma’s, but we can all agree that it is a very fitting name. Maple enjoys hanging out and taking in the sun in our guest room (I mean workshop), stealing food, playing fetch, and riding in the car.
